A cute little Red London Bus pixie beanie knitting pattern…Toot-Toot!
This picture knit is worked flat and seamed for easy intarsia knitting. If you are a new knitter and not quite ready to work in intarsia this time, simply Swiss darn (duplicate stitch) the red bus onto your beanie after knitting.
This knitting pattern has instructions for the following sizes:
0-3m (3-6m, 6-12m, 1-2 yrs, 3-5 years)
Choose any 4 Ply yarn (or sport yarn) that knits on 3.25mm (US3) needles to the tension listed below.
The little beanie shown here was knitted in Bergere De France Caline 4ply.
Tension
Stocking stitch
10cms/4 inches = 25-26sts
10cms/4 inches = 34-35 rows

Age / Hat Circumference measured flat and stretched
0-3 months
30-34cms (12-13 1/2ins)
3- 6 months
34-38cms (13 1/2-15ins)
6-12 months
38-42cms (15-16 1/2ins)
1-2 years
42-46cms (16 1/2-18ins)
3-5 years
46-51cms (18–19 1/2ins)
You will need:
A pair of 3.25mm (US3) single pointed needles
Mid blue = 30 (35, 40, 45, 50) gm
Red = 10 gm
Light blue = 10 gm
Small amount of black for the wheels
Darning/tapestry needle
