Classic, fuss-free baby hat knit in garter stitch throughout except for the i-cords. The hat is worked flat and seamed at the back. Shaping at the top is done by working short rows. For the earflaps, stitches are picked up along the bottom edge.

The yarn I used is Schachenmayr SMC’s Merino extra which I think is great for baby knits as it is very soft and machine washable.
