Baby Hedgehogs
If you want to make a complete hedgehog family, check out my curious hedgehog and shy hedgehog patterns. :)
These babies are only about 3” long but they have realistic details like ears and even teeny little legs on their spine-free bellies. They would be great for stocking fillers, party favors or last minute gifts, and the perfect way to use up scraps of eyelash yarn and plain DK or worsted yarn.
Working with eyelash yarn can be difficult, but I tried to make it as stress free as possible: stuffing is safely enclosed in the plain yarn body, and after the first round, you won’t even need to count stitches while you work with the fuzzy yarn.
The pattern is written in English with US crochet terms. Stitches and techniques used:
starting with magic ring, chain, single crochet, single crochet increase, single crochet decrease, 3-dc and 4-dc bobble, working in back loops only
Because of the eyelash yarn, this pattern is for more experienced crocheters.
Finished items made from this pattern are yours to keep or gift away or sell, I only ask you to give me credit as designer in case you decide to sell them.
