This hooded hat is worked flat, starting at face opening with a rib stitch, and continuing in garter stitch to back of head. Use a 3-needle bind off to seam two sides together and form the hood. Then pick up stitches around the neckline to add collar in rib stitch. Use a button or simply stitch together the opening under the chin, allowing the bottom section to fall open, and make this hat easier to put on and take off.
