Baby Legs
This pattern was developed by freehand because I couldn’t find a baby leg warmer pattern small enough for a newborn or young baby.
Finished Size: Newborn (thigh high) to Toddler (calf only)
Notes: You can change colours whenever you choose, I have written these instructions without indicating an exact change. I find it’s best if you change colours in the first crochet of the next round rather then the last crochet of the previous round. This pattern is made in rounds, do not chain up and connect rounds, unless you understand what you’re doing and don’t like the colour zigzag. By working in the back loops only on the lower and upper ribbing, it creates a nice ribbed look and extra stretch.
As of April 2017, the original blog is no longer online but pattern is available via the Internet Archive (link below).
