This cute little baby hat knitting pattern has instructions for babies 0-6months, 6-12 months and 1-2 years. The hat is knitted flat and seamed up the back on completion. It will knit up with any Aran/Worsted weight yarn and you will require approximately 25grams in each of the main colours and oddments of black and white yarn for the sheep design. I attached a faux fur detachable pom pom which is widely available online, but a traditionally made pom pom would look equally good. This is a quick project to make and these hats make lovely gifts.

The sheep design is created by following a chart and intarsia. Alternatively you could add the sheep using duplicate stitch when the hat is complete.

I would recommend this knitting pattern for knitters with some experience due to the intarsia section in the pattern.
