Baby Mouse
Preparing for Christmas can feel sometimes overwhelming, but the members of this mouse family will happily volunteer if you need help trimming the tree. Even the babies are eager to assist the adults - but sometimes the temptation of all those delicious sweets around is just too much to resist!
Each pattern in the Christmas Mice collection has a cute mouse wearing a festive accessory, and a Christmas ornament that can be used to decorate the tree on its own as well as together with the mouse.
Size
The mouse is about 7.5cm (3”) tall to the top of the ears, and the gingerbread tree is roughly the same height.
Tools and materials:
~ DK yarn in coat color (light grey), pink, green, red, brown and white
~ 2.75mm/C hook
~ 5mm black plastic eyes (preferably sew-on or glue-on type)
~ black thread and sewing needle, or glue, to attach the eyes
~ fiberfill stuffing
~ stitch markers, pair of scissors, pins, yarn needle
Difficulty
This pattern is suitable for intermediate level crocheters, who are confident with basic stitches (ch, sl st, sc, hdc, dc) and frequently used amigurumi techniques (invisible decrease, magic loop, working in FLO).
The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology (UK/Aus equivalents provided). It contains many in-progress photos to help you crochet the mouse, but also includes a text-only appendix for easy printing, if you prefer working from a printed pattern but want to save ink and paper.
Finished amigurumi made from this pattern are yours to keep or gift or sell, I only ask you to credit me as the designer in case you decide to sell them.
