This adorable narwhal or unicorn of the sea can help keep track of baby’s pacifier. Make from very soft acrylic or cotton yarn, this is a very easy beginner’s pattern. It makes a unique baby shower gift. And it can be made in a couple of hours.

Once baby has been weaned from the pacifier, baby narwhal makes a wonderful soft teether and play toy. Your child will get a lot of use from this cute softie.

You will need to know basic crochet stitches, working in the round, increasing, decreasing, half double crochet and attaching pieces (only two here).

You will need:

  • H hook
  • 3 ounces Red Hear Super Saver in shocking pink (or your choice of color)
  • 3 ounces of Red Heart with Love in iced aqua (or other aqua, blue color)
  • 1 ounce white or black yarn for facial features
  • OR Child-safety eyes for a child over 3 years old (optional)
  • Yarn needle for attaching
  • Soft polyester fiberfill
  • Stitch marker

When baby no longer needs a pacifier, the chain can be used to attach to the car seat, stroller, diaper bag or removed altogether. And now baby will have a soft teether and play pal.

I hope you enjoy :)
