baby owl crochet
This quick and easy versatile owl can be made in different ways from the same pattern – you can use different size hooks and thickness of wool/yarn to get different sizes and results.
In the pictures I have put the eyes different ways round (face up or face down) to give different effects, and the red owl is made using slightly thicker wool and a slightly bigger hook, so he is about an inch bigger than the blue one.
Also, the owls can be used as keyrings, for baby mobiles, bag or rucksack fobs, ornaments or hanging decorations.
This 2 page pdf pattern contains photographic illustrations and written instructions for making the owls.
You will need some basic crochet skills but you should find them quite easy to make. The pattern uses USA crochet terms as these are most widely used and understood.
If you use the recommended yarn and hook size, this figure will come out at about 3 inches tall but you can experiment and use almost any sizes.
