Baby pinafore: works up quickly, and easily adjusts to a variety of sizes.


This is a crochet pattern suitable for intermediate crocheters, and involves the following techniques:

  • Working in rounds and working flat
  • The following crochet stitches: ch, sl st, sc, dc, tr
  • Magic ring (instructions for this are included with the pattern, also known as adjustable ring)
  • Foundationless sc (instructions for this are included with the pattern, and I have a video demonstration of this technique available here:

This pattern is written in English and all needle sizes, abbreviations, etc. are American. Contains 18 fully-illustrated pages with large, easy-to-read text and lots of photos, diagrams and charts to accompany the written instructions.

  • Yarn: (two skeins for Main color, one skein each for Secondary and Accent colors)

  • US Size I crochet hook

  • Tapestry needle (for weaving in yarn ends)

  • Scissors

  • 1 Button (I used a size 36 7/8” fabric covered button)

  • Needle and Thread

  • 12 Sets of Snaps, (I used size 2 sew on snaps)
