Newborn Knit Hat

Newborn knit hat is knit in a sport weight yarn. Pom pom or as my daughter calls it, Puff ball is optional. Cute either way! The pattern is just one size; newborn. However, if knit in a worsted weight yarn, depending on your knitting, the pattern would produce a bigger size.

Needles – # 4 16 inch Circular Needles and #4 Double Point Needles You may knit the entire hat on Double Point Needles if you prefer Please remember that after knitting up your swatch, your needle size may change.

Gauge
6 stitches = 1” or 24 sts. = a 4 in square in Stockinette Stitch using a #4 needle
