Baby Pumpkin Dragon
The pumpkin dragon is a bold and fierce creature that guards natural pumpkin patches untouched by man. They are common in the dragon world and once in a while a pumpkin like egg will stray from the nest and fall into our world. This is such a rare occurrence since mother pumpkin dragons are very protective of their nests. However, there is an easier way to have your own pumpkin pal. And with your imagination, it can come to life!
This pattern provides tutorials and pictures for very beginner crocheters. In this pattern you will learn:
- The magic ring
- How to attach safety eyes
- How to join
- How to slip stitch
- How to increase
- How to double crochet and triple crochet
- How to get rid of loose ends without unraveling your work
What you need to know:
- single crochet
- chains
- sewing (whip stitch for sewing the parts together)
- decrease
Materials:
- Orange worsted weight (1 skien should be efficient since this is a small project)
- Green worsted weight (For one dragon you don’t need much)
- Red-orange worsted weight (Scrap amount)
- 9mm safety eyes: if not, pattern does include instructions for crochet eyes and you can also embroider eyes
- Scissors
- Wide eye yarn needle
- Size E crochet hook
- Polyfill
Baby Pumpkin dragon measurements: 4 – 4 ½ inches tall, 5 ½ inches long (from nose tip to tail) 7 ½ inches long wingspan
