Two sizes included, one for newborns to 3 months old, and then 6 months old to a year. While the pattern calls for wool yarn, you could also experiment with alpaca or acrylics.

The leaf and stem accent are made using needle felting technique. If you’re unfamiliar with needle felting (which is incredibly fun), you’re welcome to catch some ideas via my video tutorials. www.erindaletapestrystudio.com/tutorials All you’ll need for this project is a single felting needle, a foam work surface, a pipe cleaner, and some green wool roving (carded wool).

Alternately, if needle felting is not your style, experiment with cutting craft felt for a cute leaf. Experiment, and see what happens!
