Skills Involved – Basic Intermediate Crochet
Skill Level – Easy (Level 3)
Size One Size (you can reduce the number of repeats for smaller size and can increase the number of repeats for a bigger size)
Materials
• Approx. 100 gms of Aran Baby Cake Anti-Pill Yarn by Hobby Store.
• Crochet Hook – 4.5 mm US Size 7 for the top piece, 4.0 mm US Size G/6 for the base band.
• Stitch Marker
• Measuring Tape
• 4 buttons
Gauge
• 18 Chs on 4.5 mm Crochet Hook = approx. 4“(10 cm)
• 18 sts X 20 rows with 4.5 mm hook = approx. 4” (10 cm)
Notes
• When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient.
• The needle called for in the pattern is based on what I have used, but it is not unusual for the gauge to vary from person to person.
• Personally, I am a fair knitter/crocheter but you may check gauge once for exact measurements
• If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size needle; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size needle.
• The Romper and the hat are worked in one piece in joined rows, beginning at the end
• Read the pattern carefully.
