Baby Sailor is knit from the top and down in one piece. A welt and drawstring around the waist create the illusion of a tee and shorts, where the tee has a collar and is shaped with raglan borders, and the shorts have an opening at the crotch for easy changing. The anchor is embroidered onto the finished tee using duplicate stitching. Short row shaping is used on the back of the onesie to create space for the baby’s backside.

Baby Sailor strikkes oppefra og ned i et stykke. En løbegang med bindebånd i taljen gør, at det ligner en tee og shorts, hvor teen har en krave og strikkes med raglanudtagninger, og shortsene har en åbning under skridtet, der gør det let at skifte. Ankeret broderes på den færdige dragt med maskesting. Bagdelen formgives med vendepinde for at lave mere plads bagtil.
