This fun baby Santa hat pattern is super cute!

• DESCRIPTION

The hat is easy to make, with advanced beginner knitters in mind.

Using knit and purl stitches, you will create ribbing, learn to knit in the round and it will also introduce you to decreasing and shaping.

This hat will be super cozy to wear in the cold weather.

Yarn

1 skein or leftovers (around 50g) of Lion Brand wool ease thick and quick in Fisherman 099

1 skein or leftovers of around 50-70g of Lion Brand wool-ease thick and quick in Cranberry.

Suitable for size 10.00mm (US 15) needles.

Super Bulky/Super Chunky/14 Ply.

Needles

10.00mm (US 15) 16″ circular knitting needles.

You may also need a set of 10mm (US 15) Double pointed needles for the decreases

• SKILLS

Level – Easy

This is an easy level knitting pattern and the techniques involved are the knit stitch, purl stitch, increasing, decreasing and working in the round.

• SIZING

The instructions are written for smaller sizes. If changes are necessary for larger size the instructions will be written thus ( ).

The circumference of the head is worked out like this >

0-3 months = 14-15″ / 3-6 months = 15-16″ / 6-12 months = 16-17″ / 18-24 months = 18-19″

Please measure to make sure you have the right circumference for your hat as every baby is different and may need to go up or down a size.
