Here is a super sweet Valentine knit.

This is a quick knit that you could complete in one evening.

I created this toy to celebrate these magnificent mammals but also to make a small, silky soft toy that would fit perfectly in a child’s hand: a treasured friend for their imaginative play.

The baby otter, with the exception of the legs, is knit in the round in one piece.

Magic loop or 5 DPN needles can be used.

A little heart is included in the pattern for your Otter pup to hug.

The pattern is written to be used in any weight of yarn and held with mohair such that the toy finishes with the silky fur of a baby sea otter.
