These legwarmers are the cutest fashion trend for babies. They are nice and baggy around the legs but fit snug enough to keep the baby warm. You don’t have to remove the legwarmers to change a diaper and they mix and match with many different outfits. You can use Caron Cakes Rainbow Sprinkles to make this rainbow pattern or use any colors you wish. Solid colors work great for mixing and matching and legwarmers work for both formal and casual occasions.

The crochet PATTERN is written for a size 0-3 months, but includes instructions on how to increase the size to fit bigger or smaller legs. Materials

  • G/4mm hook
  • Worsted weight yarn - I used Caron Cakes Rainbow Sprinkles: red for the cuffs and switched colors every 2 rounds for the legging.
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors

Gauge
2 shells = 2 ¼”
4 dc = 1”
Gauge is important for sizing. If your gauge doesn’t match, use a different sized needle or reduce the number of shells. I tend towards tight tension, so if you generally crochet with a loose tension, a smaller hook or fewer shells might work to your benefit.
