This is a pattern I developed for babies who tend to scratch their faces during boppy or sitting time.

It is an open-front cardigan-style shrug with closed ends for the hands.

This should only be worn when adult supervision is present and with the open front worn correctly so that the back is covered by the garment. I have put it on under a vest-type cover or a sleeveless sleeper sack for extra security in keeping it correctly worn.
Extra rows may be added for a larger opening or longer arms.
