Baby Spiral Dress
Hate weaving in dozens of ends or forever counting stitches? Me too. I’ve designed this pattern to minimize these aspects of crochet. Counting stitches is only required in the garment’s yoke.
I love crochet garments. This one is designed to work up quickly and without fuss so that you can make a bunch of them before your little one grows out of the size.
The dress measures 21cm (8 inches) across the chest. If fit my daughter when she was 3 months old and now still fits with room to spare at 9 months old.
No gauge is provided because the dress uses all but some tiny bit of the materials listed. Little ones will grow into it if it’s too big anyhow and you’re unlikely to have it too small with the 3.75mm hook.
This pattern may better suit an intermediate pattern reader because of some creativity with stitch types (linked stitches & a linked stitch with an extra yo), where they are worked (what I call insertion points) and some instances of turning the work part way through a row or round. Don’t be discouraged though, I’ve taken great care to lay out the instructions clearly and include 2 video tutorials.
