After knitting a pair of socks from two skeins of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock, I had a small amount of yarn leftover. Not enough to make anything big, but too much to throw away. The colors were so beautiful I couldn’t bear to waste it. Then it occured to me: baby stuff! My sister-in-law was expecting a baby girl, so I set about making a hat. Then I still had some yarn left. What next? Scratch mitts!
