I wrote up this pattern while on the train home one night and shared it on Tumblr. I’ve been meaning to add it to Ravelry but never got the chance.

But here it is at last, a simple and adorable turtle toy. It’s perfect as a desk toy, keychain or baby toy. I made a whole bundle and my best friends toddler had an absolute blast throwing them around.

You can use any yarn, the photos in the pattern are from Moda Vera Starlight. I’ve also made some with Marvel Four Seasons Acrylic 8ply and they’re just as adorable.

If you want it bigger; you can use a thicker yarn with larger hook; or continue increase rows a few more times on each part.

I use three colours, one for the head and fines, one for the top of the shell and one for the bottom of the shell. You may do any combination from there as desired.
