• DESCRIPTION

Knit with 6mm (US 10) knitting needles and bulky/chunky/12 Ply yarn, the dog sweater, and novelty hat is a great pattern for any advanced beginner knitters as well as the more experienced.

The main body of the dog sweater is knit flat, then joined in the round to complete the neck.

The hat chin ties require basic crochet knowledge.

Yarn

Any Bulky/Chunky/12 Ply yarn.

I used Alize Lanagold Classic (brown melange 240) for the dog sweater and leftover Hayfield chunky in green and in beige for the hat.

You need around 100g/150/170g for the dog sweater.

You need around 30g/50g for the contrasting colored sleeves.

You need around 50g/100g for the hat, outer ears, and chin ties.

You need around 30g for the inside ear color.

Needles

6mm (US 10) circular knitting needles use a 24″ or 32″ cable.

• SKILLS

Level – Easy

This is an easy-level knitting pattern and the techniques involved are the knit stitch, purl stitch, working K2tog, and KFB.

• SIZING

The instructions are for small, medium, and large dogs.

The sizes are easily adjustable for the length of the body and the width of the chest.
