I have made these to fit babies age 3-6 months, it is of course opportunities to make them fit 6-9 months by knitting the “honeycombpattern” longer, and put in more rounds of garter stitch before the elepfantpattern, and after, before you start the decreasing.

You will need 1 skein of each colour, if you use Baby Merino you will have enough yarn to make 2 pairs.
