Baby's Amazing Technicolor Hoodie
The body (not including the hood), of this sweater is worked in one piece, from cuff to cuff which reduces seams from 8 in a typical pieced construction, to only 2 side seams. Color changes occur at the beginning of a row, so it’s also a safe project for beginners to practice a simple color change technique before moving on to more advanced color changing techniques.
This project is perfect for those odd yarn balls in your stash that are too big to discard but not quite big enough to complete other projects. However, you can make this sweater in one color, several shades of the same color, or in as many different colors as you like. Using the same weight classification, fiber content, tonal value (I used jewel tones in the sample), and yarn brand will lend continuity to your finished product. However using yarns of different weights, fiber content, and yarn brands will give your project a unique character that even you can’t duplicate.
