I came up with this blanket when I was deciding on a unisex pattern for my brother’s first child, as him and his partner had decided not to find out the sex of their little one. I wanted something that worked up fast, could easily be for a boy or girl and would make them go ‘oh wow’ when they opened the present.

This pattern is so versatile, you can easily size it up by adding a few pattern repeats to create a beautiful picnic blanket or sofa throw.
