The winter is long in Scandinavia, and when I purchased this yarn in the shades of the sea and the sand, it was a winter-day in Copenhagen - with glacial winds and grey weather from morning to evening. I had started to dream about summer and wanted to work a magical summer-top.
Many weeks later, my design has been tested by an amazing group of testers, and I also have had the opportunity of going to a Greek island for photos of my last summer-top design.
My testers worked magical tops, and I have started wearing mine.
Fingers crossed we will all have lovely weather and lots of occasions to wear a round-yoke top, full of lace-patterning.

Construction
The top is worked in the round, seamlessly and top-down.
It starts from a ribbed neckline, followed by a section of short-rows to create an elevation at the back.
After a short section of stockinette sts, you start the lace-patterned yoke. I can promise you some fun knitting!
After the lace-pattern you continue the work in stockinette sts and further increases.
At underarms work is split for lower body and sleeves, which are worked in separate pieces to bind-off.
The lower body is finished off with a lace-section and a rolled edge. The sleeves are finished off with a section of rib-pattern, eyelets and rolled edges.

Sizes
There are 10 sizes to choose from:
Size 1: 81 cm/32”
Size 2: 86 cm/34”
Size 3: 91.5 cm/36”
Size 4: 97 cm/38”
Size 5: 108 cm/42”
Size 6: 118 cm/46.5”
Size 7: 129 cm/51”
Size 8: 140 cm/55”
Size 9: 146 cm/57”
Size 10: 151 cm/59”

The above measurements are finished chest measurements,
after washing/blocking and worked at gauge.
The sample is worked in size 1, with 4 cm/1.5” positive ease.
I recommend 2.5 cm - 10 cm/ 1” - 4” of positive ease around the chest.

Materials
Yarn: I recommend a fingering weight yarn with great stitch-definition, that works up to gauge. For the sample I used Madelinetosh “Tosh Merino Light” in the colourway “Night in Chile”.
This yarn comes in skeins of 384 m/420 yards. Of this specific yarn you will need 750/780/860/940/1020/1100/1200/1320/1440/1550 m = 820/850/937/1025/1112/1200/1308/1438/1570/1690 yards. Yardage usage may vary from yarn to yarn and from knitter to knitter. If adding more length to body and sleeves you need to count for more yarn. Needles: circular needles, 3 mm/US2.5 to work the body. You need a 60 cm/24” to start the yoke. With the added sts of the yoke and lower body, you change to 80 – 100 cm/32 – 40”. A set of DPNS (or a circular needle, if working the magic loop), 3 mm/US2.5 to work the sleeves. Choose needle size to obtain gauge. Notions: 1 removable stitch-marker. If needed you may use stitch-markers between each pattern-repeat.
If this is the case, I recommend that the BOR-marker differs from the other markers.
Separate holders (or waste yarn) to keep the sleeve sts. Blunt tapestry needle. Blocking tools, suitable for your yarn.

Gauge
26 sts and 36 rounds in stockinette sts, as well as the lace =
10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”.

The lace-patterns are charted, as well as written out round-by-round.
There is a schematic.
All measurements are given in cm’s, as well as in inches.

Knitting techniques
