Baci Sweater
The Baci sweater features a simple cable pattern that softly rests, creating a look that is both simple and lovely. With an oversized fit, it’s perfect for a trendy, relaxed style. I’ve added a touch of sweetness by using Gepard Garn’s beautiful Puno yarn. If you’re using a different yarn, I recommend a bulky weight yarn.
On October 5th, Soopknits celebrated its 2nd anniversary, and I’ve prepared a little gift for you. The Baci Hat pattern is included at the end of the sweater pattern. Last year, I was too busy writing a book to celebrate the first anniversary, but I’ve always carried a sense of gratitude. Thank you for joining me on this happy journey. I will continue to work slowly and with care, creating the designs I believe in—modern, yet keeping the warm essence of hand-knitting alive!
The samples worn by the model with a 90 cm 35.4” bust circumference are as follows:
2XS (Puno 142, Light beige)
L (Puno 0720, Blue as the sky)
XL (Puno 014, Candy floss krymmel)
The cable stitches are repositioned at the underarm, but the pink sample does not follow these instructions and maintains the yoke pattern throughout.
CONSTRUNCTION
The sweater is worked top-down, starting from the back. The shoulder shaping is first created with increasing, then the back is knitted down to the underarms. Stitches are then picked up from the shoulder edge to knit the front pieces. The left and right fronts are joined at the neck, then worked as one piece down to the underarm, where it is joined with the back to continue knitting the body. Stitches are picked up around the armholes to knit the sleeves in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline to knit the neckband, completing the sweater.
