I wrote this pattern because I had a beautiful skein of We Will Tell You All of Our Secrets aran BFL in a variegated lavender, gray, and green colorway and I wanted to create a shawlette/scarf to showcase it which would be simple enough that it would not compete with the colorful yarn.

I used US 9 needles with aran, so the piece has quite a bit of drape. You can feel free to get creative with your needle/yarn combo - you can repeat sections 1 and 2 as many times as you like to make the shawl as large or as small as you wish.

There have been a couple of questions regarding the first row. To clarify, here’s how the first row will work:

K3, KFB, KFB, slip marker, K4, slip marker, KFB, KFB, K3
