Back in the Saddle Slouch Hat
by Becky Curran
I designed this slouch hat to wear on my walks with my French Bulldog, Simon. This pattern is easy enough for a beginner. Worked in the round, it begins with deep one by one ribbing and then goes into a deceptively easy textured stitch on the sides and top of the hat. There is a fingering weight version, and a worsted weight version. The fingering specifics are already listed, here are the worsted specifics:
1 skein Cascade 220 Superwash Effects or similar light worsted
weight yarn
US 5 and US7 16” circular needles
US7 double point needles
Gauge: 5 stitches = 1” in pattern stitch
I’m working one up in cotton right now for the warmer months!
