Stockinette stitch in your favourite colour for this must-make top-down socks pattern. These socks are the perfect companion for your woolly adventures.

Finished Measurements

  • Foot Circumference: 4.5(5, 5.75, 6.5) 7, 7.75 , 8.5“ / 11 (12.5, 14, 16) 17.5, 19.5, 21 cm

Choose a size that is approx 10% smaller than your actual foot circumference.

  • Foot Length: 4.5 (5.25, 7.5, 8.5) 9, 10, 11.5” / 11 (13, 19, 21) 22.5, 25, 29 cm

Yarn

  • 1 (1, 1, 1)1, 1, 2 skeins SweetGeorgia Yarns Tough Love Sock (425 yd / 339 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 80% Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon) Socks shown in Papaya, Seaside, Lime and Chili Pepper colourways.

Needles & Notions

  • Size US 1 / 2.25 mm needles; for magic loop, 32″ / 80 cm circular; for two needles, (2) 24″ /60 cm circulars; or a set of double pointed needles.

Adjust needle size if necessary, to obtain the correct gauge.

  • (2) Stitch markers, (1) BOR stitch marker, tapestry needle

Gauge

  • 36 stitches and 48 rounds = 4″ / 10 cm in stockinette. stitch, after blocking.
