The brim for this hat is doubled. After completing the brim, it is folded in half and joined while knitting the first row above the brim.

The top of the hat is then completed and the remaining stitches after all decreases are closed with a single thread to finish off the cap. It is easily blocked using either a “head form” or a balloon.
