Backbone
This top-down sweater inspired by Elliott Smith features a lot of fun color work techniques. The half-length sleeves are finished with a rolled edge while the bottom of the sweater and button band are comprised of garter stitch. You only need about 65 yards for the contrasting yarn, so this would be a great time to break out your leftovers from previous projects.
Sizes: Small - Extra large
Yarn: Miss Babs Yummy 2-ply or other fingering weight yarn.
Yardage: 1,100-1,365 yards.
Needles: U.S. size 3.
You will also need eight stitch markers, two 1-inch buttons, a measuring tape and your typical knitting notions.
