My daughters are always on the hunt for thicker, warmer hats. My youngest daughter has been known to wear multiple hats to school, and she is not afraid to mix and match her colors. In that spirit, I created the extra warm Backdrop Hat with two layers of color. The outer layer is knit using self-striping yarn while the inner layer is knit in a solid color. The sweet eyelets in the outer layer provide a peak of the inner layer so that all that lovely knitting time isn’t hidden away. The solid yarn creates a perfect backdrop for the outer rainbow of color. As a bonus, this hat is also fully reversible.
