Backsplash Cowl
The small sections of tiles used as a backsplash are one of my favorite things to see when I visit kitchens. I love all different kinds of tiles: hand crafted with flowers or animals, iridescent ones, and the gorgeous geometric blue design my friend picked for her newly remodeled kitchen.
Just as a small portion of tile can tie a kitchen together; this cowl will brighten your outfit and draw attention to itself without overpowering the rest of your look.
Yarn
Miss Babs Yummy 2-Ply Toes
100% Superwash Merino Wool; 133 yd/1.3 oz (121 m/38 g) per mini skein
3 skeins, shown in White Peppercorn (MC1), Oregon Mist (MC2), and Spiny (CC)
Or approximately 80 yards/74 meters each of two MCs and 120 yards/110 meters of CC in fingering weight yarn.
To make sure the pattern is as visible as possible, please ensure the two MCs and the CC are highly contrasting. I would recommend that both MCs be light with a dark CC, or both MCs be dark with a light CC.
