A sweet lace pattern that mimics fallen leaves on a forest floor accent these pretty fingerless mitts . A great way to sample lace knitting without the concentration & commitment that a larger project requires. I wanted a simple design that works well with solid and variegated yarns as well as a stretchy fabric that would accommodate a range of sizes.

Written out in line by line instruction, this pattern is suitable for beginners and/or those new to lace knitting.

Materials & Tools
~ Fingering weight yarn (approx. 160 -180 yards)
~ Size US 1 (2.25mm) needles - this project can be
worked on 2 circs, magic loop (my preferred method)
or dpn‘s, just make sure to distribute your stitches
evenly to work in the round
~ waste yarn (for holding live stitches)
~ tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)
~ stitch markers
~ needle that is 1-2 sizes bigger for b/o sts (optional)
