This cosy hat is encircled with friendly badgers and topped with a row of mushrooms, combined with bands of traditional Fair Isle patterns with a fresh, bright colour scheme.

It’s knitted in the round from the bottom up, with a colourwork pattern which treads the fine line between being interesting but not too tricky to knit. It’s carefully designed to keep floats as short as possible and only two colours worked per row.
