Badlands Spring Mosaic Square
I designed this pattern with our northern prairie spring in mind. Our spring season is full of fleeting beauty after a long winter. The birds return, crocuses bloom and new babies are born to wildlife. The melting snow cover creates streams that meander through the ravines and eventually mingle with the rivers in the valleys below.
The pattern is a mosaic square worked in the round using single crochet and double crochet. For my sample I used worsted weight yarn and a 4mm hook for a final size of 18 inches. I was able to make 2 squares with one skein of each color. You may use any type or size of yarn you prefer, but final size may vary. This square is the perfect size to be used as a throw pillow cover. You may also make several squares and join them to make an Afghan.
Pattern includes detailed written instructions and a graph with symbols.
