This large & cozy wrap features a graphic interplay of ribbed lines and mesh lace that frame a garter stitch body and also cleverly incorporate the shaping at the same time.

The original sample is using a fingering weight yarn held double in the marling technique with a fade set of mini skeins, but the pattern is easily adjustable if you wish to use a different yarn or weight and/or make a smaller/larger shawl according to the yardage you have available. You could also build your own fade set with leftovers or single skeins from your stash and combine them into a stunning marled sea of colour. Or even go the opposite and work the wrap in a single colour only. The design provides enough textural interest that this would be absolutely beautiful, too.

Bag of Sweets is a long sideways-knit wrap that is worked from tip to tip. The elongated, rounded ellipse-like shape makes it enjoyable to knit and easy to wear.

Fully written row-by-row as well as charted instructions are provided so you can choose which you prefer to work from.

This pattern has been designed in collaboration with Olivia & Oliver Fibers for their Advent Calendar 2023 “Simply Sweet”. I had the great pleasure of creating a wrap with this amazing colourful fade set of minis!

I hope you enjoy the pattern!
