This comfy hat is knitted in the round, with two colours. However you will only be working with one colour at a time. Therefore it is not complex to knit, but produces interesting colour work. Have fun with colour! You can use naturals to produce a soft effect or go wild with saturated colour to create an optical illusion. The examples shown are knitted in Dye Happy DK machine wash, but the pattern works well with any double knit.
Instructions are given in the PDF for specific gauge directions.

There are three sizes to choose from, child, ladies or man’s. A child’s hat uses approx 25grams colour A, and 25grams colour B, the ladies hat uses approx 40 grams of each colour and the man’s 45 grams of each colour. There is more specific information about measurements given in the PDF.

The hat is named after the place my parents live in the UK, Bagley Wood. The light is dappled, the woods sing and I had fun creating this pattern there.
