Bahama Mama Bag
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
The Bahama Mama Bag was created to replicate the look of the straw or corn husk bags that you would find while on the boardwalk at the beach, hence the name. Worked with two strands of worsted weight yarn and a L hook makes this bag very sturdy and quick to work up. The pattern includes the option for one of three handle choices: a pair of 6” Bamboo rings, a pair of 7.75” X 7” pair of Bamboo handles, or crocheted handles to mimic the look of rolled leather handles. I also include the pattern for the crochet flower, decorated with a 3/4” button. The bag measures approximately 18” wide X 10” from top to bottom X 4” deep, excluding handles.
