This hat was test knitted by my friends when we visited Shetland Wool week.

Some people might like a taller hat, in which case only knit 10 rows of the rib, but 3 repeats of the star.

If you would like a matching cowl, cast on 160sts, work 10 rows of rib then 3 repeat (height) of the pattern before finishing with 10 rows of rib. This will need 2 balls of the main colour and one for the star design.
