Dramatic triangles and chevron shapes break through the solid-colored fabric, inviting you to channel your most joyful palette. Bound by a sleek, corded edge, Bajadas is radiant in any of Peerie’s glowing Merino solids.

Construction
- This shawl is worked flat from the top down with increases worked along each edge and down the center spine.
- The solid-color stripes are worked in garter stitch; the colorwork stripes are worked in mosaic knitting.
- Slipped stitches along both edges create a knitted cord edging, and the shawl is finished with an optional Knitted Cord Bind Off and three optional tassels, one for each corner of the shawl.

- 68”/172.5 cm wide wingspan; 29”/73.5 cm height at center line
Yarn
Brooklyn Tweed Peerie — 100% American Merino Wool (210 yards/192 meters per 50 grams)
- 5 skeins of Main Color (MC); 1 skein of Color 1 (C1); 2 skeins of Color 2 (C2)
- Photographed in colors Muslin (MC), Marigolds (C1), and Mesa (C2)
Yardage
- 880 yards/805 meters MC; 210 yards/192 meters C1; 320 yards/293 meters C2 of fingering weight wool yarn
- Note: You will have enough C2 yarn left over to make the 3 optional tassels for the shawl, which will require approximately 50 yards/46 meters of yarn. The skein count for C1 is exactly the listed yardage; consider adding an extra skein.
Gauge
- 23 stitches & 48 rows = 4”/10 cm in garter stitch, after blocking
Needles
One 32”/80 cm or longer circular needle in size needed to obtain gauge listed
- Suggested Size: 3.5 mm (US 4)
