Balaclava Ski Mask
One-piece Crochet Pattern (written in English, US terminology, abbreviated, 1 PDF file) for a trendy winter sports headwear - Shiesty Balaclava Ski Mask.
This model has an extended, V-shaped, downward-expanding neck warmer that gives extra protection from wind and cold.

A contoured ergonomic design and unique 4-way-stretch ribbed texture allow the finished product to fit any Teen or Adult head in case if the mandatory GAUGE is obtained:
20 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in sc BLO (single crochets in Back Loop Only).
Head circumference of the dummy in the pictures is 21.7’’ (55 cm).
Additionally, Pattern contains a chart with the suggested GAUGE for each individual size so that the item feels even more comfortable to wear.
Crochet skill level required: ‘PRE-INTERMEDIATE’, but please keep in mind that you will need enough time, attention, and patience to constantly count the stitches in each row (the total number of rows is 41).
You should know how to read abbreviated crochet patterns and how to crochet:
- сhain stitch (ch);
- single crochet (sc);
- half double crochet (hdc);
- double crochet (dc);
- increase (2 hdc in 1 st);
- decrease (dc2tog or dc3tog).

You will need up to 330 yds (300 m) of any Light (DK) or Medium Worsted WOOL yarn (US weight category 3 or 4) with NOT LESS than 185 yds per 3.5 oz (170 m per 100 g).
NOTE: Acrylic yarn is NOT suggested for this project because the finished acrylic products can stretch and lose their shape. Please pay attention to choosing the yarn with the right characteristics, this will guarantee you a great result. )
Crochet hook 4.5 mm (US 7) and about 1¼ (1.25) skeins of Alize WOOLTIME yarn (75% Wool, 25% Polyamide) used to crochet the item in the photos:
1 skein = 219 yds / 3.53 oz (200 m / 100 g).
