Bald Eagle
Did you know that the bald eagle is the national bird AND the national animal of the United States? They have a wingspan reaching 6 to 8 feet across and glaring yellow eyes, great for spotting fish. These beautiful birds mate for life and build giant nests out of sticks
To make this pattern, you will need:
• Worsted-weight yarn in brown, white, and yellow.(brand does not mater)
• Size F crochet hook (3.75 mm)
• Fiberfill or stuffing
• Needle with a large eye
• 9 mm plastic safety eyes (yellow or clear)
Note: I used clear eyes and painted the backs of them yellow with acrylic paint. They look just like yellow colored eyes and are easily adaptable for other projects!
This pattern is at an Easy level. You need to know how to single crochet in the round, increase, decrease, and slip stitch.
Pattern includes 6 pages of detailed instruction in English and color photos of the work-in-progress and finished product to help guide you along. Finished product measures about 5” tall and approximately 3.5” across.
