Balevullin socks are a fingering weight sock, suitable for men or women, knitted with a distinctive wavy ribbed pattern. They can be knitted with a fitted or more slouchy ankle & can be sized to suit a broader foot or more sturdy ankle. They can be knitted in any fingering weight yarn, plain or self stripped, just be sure to have enough yarn if you are knitting the larger size. 2 skeins of Drops Fabel is plenty.

They are the second in a series of patterns entitled ‘Around Britain on your hands & feet’. Each pattern is linked to one of my favourite places in Great Britain and include some photos & travel details about each place. Balevullin is a beach on the west coast of the island of Tiree in Scotland and it is absolutely gorgeous!
