The Bali Bag can be used as a very small coin purse, or to hold a treasure. Size is approximately that of an amulet bag or pendant bag.

Lining is crocheted with thread only. Gauge is given as a range for outside of the bag and also for lining with thread only. For outer bag there should be 11 or 12 half double crochet stitches per inch depending on if you are crocheting under both halves or just the outer half of each stitch in the previous round. For the lining, 3 groups of 5 half double crochet stitches should measure 1-1.25” The overall concern is that the bag will fit the frame, and too big is easier to adjust than too small. Bag lining is 2.5” diameter, frame is 2” between hinges.

Bali Bag instruction booklet includes options for future projects using multiple colors, additional rows for a larger bag, alternate handle materials, and combining multiple crocheted motifs to make a variety of additional accessories.

Directions are given for bead crochet stitches using words, illustrations, and photos. Beadwrangler’s Kit Supplement, a detailed 15 page booklet, is also included.

It covers basic bead crochet stitches (no beads) and the first few rounds in a basic bead crochet rope.

Illustrations, photos and instructions are provided in left-handed and right-handed versions.
