The first neighborhood in my Seattle Sock Series is my home neighborhood of Ballard. Ballard was originally settled by the Scandinavian immigrants moving into the city and much of the industry focused on seafaring and fishing. Today it’s home to a large number of local breweries & cider houses, the only year-round farmer’s market in Seattle, and coffee shops. There is still a big focus around seafaring and industrial businesses, with many marinas and ship yards surrounding Salmon and Shilshole Bays. As well as the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, which separates the salt water Puget Sound and fresh water Lake Washington. Most importantly, it’s where I call home.

This pattern is a DK weight cuff-down sock with the option of a heel flap and gusset or a short row heel. Preferred needle type is encouraged
