Ballband Bun Blanket
This design is a large, 18-inch, square cloth, in a dense and insulating fabric, namely brick stitch, widely known as the “Ballband” stitch, made famous by the Mason Dixon authors.
It has eyelets and an i-cord drawstring to draw it closed, when placed in a bowl or basket and filled with warm dinner rolls. It is worked in the round and can be made of any kitchen, or worsted weight, cotton.
I wish to thank Peggy Laipple for her PickleSoup’s Whims. I used her wonderful pattern (Simply Crocheted Stitch Markers) to crochet special miter markers to help me when designing my pattern. I highly recommend making these smooth, snag-proof stitch markers. They are fun, quick, easy, and useful. Thanks, Peggy!
