Ballerin Crop Top
THE BALLERIN CROP TOP- A Whistle and Wool original Design.
This top uses basic stitches but with its’ openwork and details, even if you’re a beginner, this top doesn’t look like a beginner project. I think details and finishing really bring a pattern to the next level. This is a Fun AND Easy Summer top perfect for layering!! It’s worked from side to side and I include photo tutorials, diagrams and tips through out the pattern journey. Even if you just started Crocheting, you can make this!! It takes roughly 4 hours to create based on your skill level. If you have an afternoon, you can have this done!!
This top has an airy openwork stitching so it’s perfect for layering during the warmer months, crochet all year round!

A bit of History behind the city of Ballerin: It is a small village between Garvagh and Ringsend in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It is located within Causeway Coast and Glens district. The village lies within a townland that has a similar name. The villages’ name is usually spelt Ballerin, while the townlands’ name is usually spelt Boleran. Earlier spellings of these names include Ballyerin (1654) and Ballyirin (1613). All are believed to come from Irish Baile Uí Shírín, meaning ‘Ó Shírín’s townland/settlement’. However, the local Gaelic Athletic Association club uses the Irish name Baile Iarainn, meaning “townland/settlement of iron”.
